If you’re driving around St. Paul, be aware of a new four way stop going up soon.
The signs will be placed at the intersection of 47th Street and 48th Avenue. The change was made after a letter from the company operating school buses in town was sent expressing safety concerns. The drivers currently have a very difficult time making a left turn there, making for lots of traffic congestion as well.
A traffic count was conducted on a no-school day in response and 136 vehicles were found to have passed through between 8:30 am and 9:00 am. Council voted to put the signs up at the last meeting.
