The City of Cold Lake’s Public Works Department is racking up more silverware at another awards ceremony.
The Alberta Public Works Association named the City of Cold Lake the winner of the Project of the Year in the Public Works Week category. This comes on the heels of the city’s national award. Public Works took the 2016 Canadian Public Works Association Small Centres Award in August.
“We’re very proud of our Public Works department and all the dedicated work they do,” said Mayor Craig Copeland. “To be recognized at both a provincial and national level is very rewarding. It’s a good reminder of the hard work our Public Works staff put in every day, week after week.”
General Manager of Infrastructure Services Azam Khan accepted the award at the annual awards luncheon in Red Deer earlier today.
