Young Boys Alert Elk Point RCMP of Possible Abduction Attempt

. On January 16th, two young Elk Point boys were approached by a 4-door dark green or grey Toyota Camry while walking to school.  The passenger in the vehicle opened the door, reached for something in the back, and asked the boys if they wanted to a ride to school. The boys, aged 8 and 9, thinking quickly replied “no” and reported the incident to the RCMP. Constable Roy Auger with the Elk Point RCMP Detachment says the boys did the right thing and anyone approached by an unknown vehicle should follow their example.

RCMP Would like to make parent aware of the situation and have them be extra vigilant. Both suspects were described as native males, the driver was around 45 years of age, wearing a black toque, black coat, and a few days old mustache. He possibly has a cross tattooed on the back on his neck. The passenger was around 30 years of age, wearing a strip toque, black coat and light blue jeans. He had earrings in both ears, a silver chain and had a goatee. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Elk Point RCMP.
