Peace Officers’ Walk and Wag Raises $450 For Humane Society

Cold Lake Peace Officers put on a Walk and Wag Fundraiser for the Humane Society on Sunday, raising 450 dollars for them.

The event raised more than double what it did in its second year, compared with about 150 dollars in 2015. About 20 participants walked their dogs from the Humane Society to Lions’ Park and back. Hot Chocolate, water bottles and goody bags for the dogs were provided as well. “This was quite a big turnout compared to last year” says Peace Officer Ryan Deschamps. “We were almost outnumbered by dogs in consideration to people.”
