Thanks 4 Giving Food Drive a Success

Saturday’s Thanks 4 Giving Food Drive brought in some impressive numbers for the Cold Lake Food Bank.

The city reports on their Facebook page that the event raised 609.3 pounds of food and $480.70 cash for the food bank. “We’re very grateful for the work they did for us” says Food Bank Director Phil Crump. The donations from the food drive were also augmented with a 4000 kilo donation from the Church of Latter Day Saints.

Crump says things are looking good for the time being. “The shelves are stocked and we’re ready for business on Wednesday.” Anyone who was unable to make a donation over the weekend is still more than welcome to do so though. “They can drop it in anytime we’re open on Wednesday from 10 to 2:30 and 6 to 8 on Friday. Or they can phone the food bank and we can figure out a time to open it up for them to drop off their stuff.”

The Cold Lake Ice were at the Food Drive as well to donate their time and effort.
