Ecole Notre Dame Receives $19,000 From Kleinmann Cup

This year’s Kleinmann Cup Charity Golf Tournament was able to raise $29,000 for causes around the Lakeland, $19,000 of which will go towards Ecole Notre Dame.

The school plans to use the funds on a new bus for the Wildcats. The bus will be primarily used to transport students to sporting events, but will be used for a variety of other purposes as well.

Wildcat Association President Lisa DeAbreu said, “I was absolutely ecstatic to receive the announcement of $19,000.00 from this great event going towards a bus for our high school. Every student will benefit from the use of this bus at some point in their schooling. On behalf of the Wildcat Association, I would like to thank the devoted Kleinmann family and  organizers of this great event for their generosity.”

The organizers of the Kleinmann Cup decided to make Notre Dame a beneficiary this year to help the young athletes and students from the school to reduce transportation costs and ensure that the students have an equal opportunity to participate in school sports.

“The school is so greatful,” adds Lakeland Catholic School District Communications Officer Amanda Wildmann, “It is going to impact all of the students in the school as well as many students for many years to come.”
