Stolen vehicle leads to charges

Two men have been charged following a vehicle theft. On August 18th, two men reportedly stole a truck from the Crane Lake area and drove to the St. Paul region where police chased them briefly.

Bonnyville RCMP later located the males in the same stolen truck just outside the Elizabeth Metis Settlement. The 26 year old white male driver from Cold Lake has been charged with multiple offences including Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle. The 19 year-old native male passenger from Edmonton is facing four charges, including Resisting Arrest.
