#StopDropSelfieForMS Hopes to Raise Awareness for Those Living with Multiple Sclerosis

There’s a new social media initiative to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. You may be seeing  #stopdropselfieforms blowing up your newfeeds lately. It’s a part of a campaign, similar to the ice bucket challenge, to raise awareness and funds for the MS Society.

Client Services & Development Coordinator for the Lakeland MS Society, Jenna MacDonald explains that symptoms of MS are often unexpected and spring up out of no where. So “Stop Drop Selfie” shows awareness of MS symptoms by stopping what you’re doing and taking a selfie to show support. Canada has the highest number of people with MS, estimated at 100 000 in the country living with MS, which makes this campaign especially important.
