Construction Beginning on Kinosoo Beach Upgrades

Construction to upgrade Kinosoo Beach has begun, expanding the entertainment options and the beach itself.

Contractors started setting yesterday, with most of the work to begin on Monday. Plans include a new multi-surface court, two beach volleyball courts, extended beach area, and a new bandstand.  Construction is scheduled to be finished by the end of the year.

A large section of the west end of the beach will be temporarily closed while construction is underway. Closed areas include he overflow parking off Tamarack Street; the west side of the beach; volleyball courts; basketball courts; gazebo, and the play structure.

The city is asking the public to give workers space and to follow construction sings.
