Haying in the 30s Raises 175K

Despite having their tools stolen out of their shed a few months ago, it was another successful year for haying in the 30s this past weekend.

The charity was able to raise over 175 thousand dollars raised to help out cancer victims with expenses. President Lorne Buryn says that number’s actually a little lower than previous years, but he suspects that’s more a sign of the economy than anything else. He estimates the event attracted about 6,500 visitors over the weekend.

If you were unable to make a donation at the event, the organization accepts them year round. Click the link below for more information.
