St. Paul Elementary School was on a “Lock and Secure” Friday Afternoon.

On December 5th, during the bus loading time, approximately 3:15pm in the afternoon Friday a loud banging noise was heard which caused the St. Paul Elementary School to follow a lock and secure protocol. Police were called and students remained in the school while an investigation was conducted to determine the cause of the loud noise. The investigation did not reveal any source of the noise, though police did determine it was safe for the lock and secure to be lifted. Bus traffic was backed up due to the safety measure, and parents were informed of the situation,. The school division is now waiting for a police investigation and any further report as to the origin of the noise.
