Pow Wow Days Gets Licence, Fishing Derby On

A more than 50 year tradition will continue for Lac La Biche Pow Wow Days, as the fishing derby is back on the schedule.

Organizers of the event found themselves in trouble with the province after advertising the derby before they had received a permit. However, at the last minute the government was able to speed up the permit process and the event is back on for another year. However, organizers expect a drop in competitors due to the uncertainty surrounding the event this year.
