CAP Arena to Undergo Renovations

After receiving 25 grand as a nominee for Kraft Hockeyville, the CAP arena in St. Paul is getting some renovations over the summer.

Plans include making the steps at the front more accessible as well as making the entrance one wide door to make carrying large hockey bags in easier. A new paint job and roof repairs are on the table as well. The arena is getting help from the local Public Works Department in removing concrete to keep costs down. The town is providing landscaping materials and helping the arena committee in trying to secure a Government Accessibility Grant. Without the town’s help, costs were originally estimated to be between 60 and 80 thousand dollars.
