The Frog Lake First Nations has made a massive announcement that they plan to build a 100 million dollar casino complex just west of Lloydminster.
In addition to the casino, the complex will also feature a 200 room hotel, a 1,200 person convention centre, and most exciting of all, a 7,500 seat arena with the ambitions of attracting a WHL franchise.The stadium could attract other major events as well, such as big name concerts, the Brier and major First Nations gatherings.
Things are still very much in the early stages. Frog Lake plans to make presentations to the Lloydminster and Vermillion councils soon.
