Winter Bylaws in Effect for Bonnyville

STATEMENT FROM THE BONNYVILLE RCMP

Now that winter is in full effect, the Town of Bonnyville along with the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment would like to remind residents of the Town of Bonnyville Bylaws regulating parking on residential streets.  According to Bylaw 1160-99(3.3) any vehicle parked on a residential street for longer than three (3) days is declared abandoned and can be towed under the Alberta Traffic Safety Act.  In addition, any vehicles parked on a street twenty-four (24) hours after a snow removal sign has been placed may be towed at owner’s expense.  Bonnyville residents are also required to maintain the sidewalks adjacent to their residences to keep them clear of snow, ice and debris; this is to be completed within forty-eight (48) hours of the most recent snowfall.  Please reference the Town of Bonnyville website for more information about these bylaws as well as any others.
