The Alberta Obudsman heard from Lakelanders during his visit. Peter Hourihan, the Obudsman for Alberta heard from residents on November 19th when he visited Bonnyville. The Obudsman acts as an impartial body to hear complaints regarding government authorities, professional organizations and the patient concerns resolution process of the Alberta Health Services. Much of his job is helping Albertans wade through bureaucracy and determines where to go with their complaints. During his day-long visit Mr. Hourihan, who brought two investigators with him, heard from a number of citizens and received complaints regarding senior’s care concerns, health concerns and housing concerns.
