Today marks the 20th Annual national Aboriginal Day. The Bonnyville Native Friendship Centre has organized an event at the Bonnyville & District Museum.
Local Dignitaries arrived for a pipe ceremony earlier in the morning and residents got to enjoy a free barbecue of burgers, hotdogs and bannock. Native dancers were on hand to provide entertainment as well.
Attendance for the event was great, over 800 students from local schools alone showed up throughout the day.
