Council Wants to Build Improvements to Bonnyville Splash Park

Bonnyville council agrees that that they want to make some improvements to the splash park in town.

During Tuesday’s meeting, council agreed that building a parking lot and wash and change rooms for the park was a good idea. Right now the curbside parking situation presents a danger to parents and kids getting in and out of cars on the street.

While there’s already money in the capital budget for parking, council decided to try and seek a grant announced by the federal government for Canada’s 150th Anniversary to secure funding for the change rooms. If successful, Ottawa would match every dollar the town puts into them.
