The Bonnyville Native Friendship Centre has some big plans for Aboriginal Day next Tuesday.
Held at the Bonnyville and District Museum, events will begin with a pipe ceremony at 10:30. From there locals will be able to enjoy some free barbecue closer starting at 11:30. Bannock will be served along the usual hamburgers and hot dogs.
Representatives from town council will be present. While the event has been well attended by elementary schools for a long time now, middle and high schools are showing more interest as well. Expect to see quite a few kids at the event.
