Oil Spill An Act of Vandalism

The Oil Spill in St. Paul from early November called an Act of vandalism by Police. The St. Paul RCMP detachment is currently investigating the oil spill which originated at the Giant Tiger- Co-op Parking Lot on November 4th. It is believed an unknown individual tampered with the valve at the back of the vehicle. The driver, unaware of the leak, then drove over 50 kilometres from St. Paul to the Lindbergh plant, leaking crude bitumen the entire way. The spill on the highway was contained to the roadways, however the original site leaked 400 litres of the substance into The Town of St. Paul’s storm water system. The incident is currently under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the St. Paul RCMP detachment.
