A 39 year old woman was taken to hospital on a stretcher last Thursday after a fight broke out at the Bonnyville Best Western
Officers arrived on scene and found the woman in the lobby holding a towel to her head with extensive injuries to her face and head.
Through investigation it was learned that she got into an argument with another woman while drinking in a hotel room. This argument escalated and moved out to the hall where surveillance shows a 31 year old woman hitting the 39 year old  multiple times in the face. At one point she throws her on the ground and gets on top of her to continue hitting her. The 31 year old leaves briefly and comes back to strike the 39 year old multiple times in the face knocking her down.
The 31 year old f was located and arrested by police,  she has been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and was put before a Justice of the Peace who released her to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on June 20th with court compelling conditions. She  is known to the police with a history of previous assault conditions.
