Accident Reveals Driver Had Suspended Licence, No Insurace

On top of being in an accident he wasn’t at fault for, a 27-year old Cold Lake man found himself brought to the RCMP’s attention, revealing a few facts he likely didn’t want to share.

While investigating the accident at the intersection of Highway 55 and 28, police found out the man was driving with a suspended licence and no insurance. RCMP believe the other vehicle might not have been obeying the traffic lights, resulting in the collision. Both drivers are likely to face charges. Driving uninsured in Alberta carries a fine of over 3,000 dollars with it.
