Domestic Incident in Bonnyville

RCMP attended a domestic incident in town on the 14th.

On their way to the scene, officers were flagged down by the woman who had called a few houses from the scene. She had fled the scene after her drunken fiancée kicked the door open, fearing for her safety as she said he had been violent a few weeks before.

RCMP located the man and a struggle ensued as they tried to arrest him. He was held in a cell until he sobered up and released on conditions to appear in court on June 21st.

The suspect’s name has not been released at this time.
