Native Arts and Culture Program student at Portage College Morgan D’or is donating an original painting of his to the school.
Fittingly enough, the painting is D’or’s own take the on the college’s logo, inspired by Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”. D’or made everything from scratch including the canvas and used only a pallet knife and a plastic fork. When asked what inspired him, he said he appreciated the education he had gotten at the college over the past three years and wanted to show it.
The college hasn’t said where exactly the painting will be displayed on the campus, but it will be a prominent location.
