Fort Mac Benefit Concert to Be Held June 11th at Energy Centre

A benefit concert for Fort McMurray organized by local musician Renee Malo now has a date and location.

The concert will be held on June 11th at the Cold Lake Energy Centre. Malo says three bands will play on the night, but hasn’t released who they will be yet. She and Mayor Craig Copeland are looking into charities in the Fort McMurray area but haven’t decided which one the proceeds  will go to yet.

A silent auction will be held as well. Malo says over $3,500 of items have been donated already. Admission will be a minimum donation of two dollars.
