Bold Center Closed to Public

With over 400 people staying there and having been declared a provincial evacuation centre, the Bold Center in Lac La Biche has been closed off to the public.

Only authorized staff and volunteers and evacuees from Fort McMurray will be allowed to enter the facility. The county says it understands residents’ concerns regarding their memberships to the center and is trying to work out a solution.

As of this morning,  4,721 evacuees have registered at the Bold Center. 420 cots are being used, with a total of 770 available. The county has also published a list of items evacuees need as well.
