The town and MD of Bonnyville have jointly established a check-in centre for evacuees at the C2. It will be open today (Friday) from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This check-in centre is to register evacuees in Bonnyville and area who are in hotels, campgrounds or staying with friends or relatives. This will allow officials to determine the needs of the evacuees and take action to assist them. It is not an official evacuation centre.
Evacuees checking in will be assisted with online registration with the Red Cross and with accessing the Provincial government resources for evacuees.
There will be information and resources available for those evacuees who have special needs.
