Cenovus Makes $100,000 Donation to Red Cross

Cenovus has donated a hundred thousand dollars to the Canadian Red Cross to help out evacuees from Fort McMurray.

The company says it will also match any donations its employees make. Another donation to Lac La Biche County has been made as well. Cenovus says they are offering rooms, food, fuel and water to evacuees to provide support.

While operations at Christina Lake are unaffected by fires at this time, the high risk has led Cenovus to send all non-essential personnel home to make evacuations easier should the need arise.
