Bonnyville, Cold Lake Firefighters in Fort Mac

Both the MD of Bonnyville and Cold Lake’s fire crews have travelled up north to Fort McMurray to help fight the out of control wildfire that has claimed much of the city.

Cold Lake has sent fire crews, a pumper truck and some extra equipment to the scene along with three RCMP officers. The MD has sent crews and trucks as well.

As of 5 AM today, the crews have been deployed at a trailer park at the edge of the town, trying to protect it from the fire. The city of Cold Lake says they have not been asked to house any evacuees at this time but they remain ready to provide help if needed.
