North Star Elementary School has a New Green Space

Cold Lake’s North Star elementary school has added a new green space that can be enjoyed by the students and the community. The Green it Love It project started in 2013 when teachers noticed the need for students to have a natural place outdoors to play and learn. Landscaping from Joyce Doktor brought the project together with the support of Northern Lights School Division, the City of Cold Lake and ETree Farm, the school applied for grants that would help it meet its project goals. Other generous companies who helped bring the space together through donations included TD Bank, Toyota and Shell Canada.
