Photo Radar On Its way to Cold Lake

Photo Radar is coming to Cold Lake soon.

Residents will get a bit of a grace period though. Only warning tickets will be issued from May 23rd to June 23rd.

Global Traffic Group Ltd. has been contracted to run the program. Locations will be determined with the help of Cold Lake RCMP and will be advertised so everybody knows where they are. Signs will be posted at the entrances to the city as well.
City Council voted to bring the  program under a third party to save on costs. The program is also expected to free up local officers to focus on other priorities.

Tickets will be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle along with a link to a photo or video of the offence. The tickets will also detail the payment and legal options available.
