A 22-year-old Bonnyville man who tried to steal from a liquor store yesterday got a lot more than he bargained for.
A couple of bystanders saw the man trying to make off with a bottle and when a story employee yelled, he ran off. However, the two other customers gave chase and followed him in a vehicle. The suspect eventually tried to jump a fence, but that didn’t shake the pair off who eventually pinned him to the ground until the police arrived.
The man has been released on court compelling documents and is slated to appear on June 7th.
