MD Increases Rates for Roadside Cleanup Program

The MD of Bonnyville is increasing the rates it pays for its Roadside Cleanup Program to encourage more groups to join.

The program pays local non-profit groups to clean up particularly dirty roads within the district. Previously, groups were paid either 40, 60 or 100 dollars per kilometre depending on how big the job was determined to be. However, the lowest two rates have been increased by 10 dollars to 50 and 70 respectively.

Interested groups can call the Ag and Waste Department at 780-826-3951 to be assigned a road.
