Anonymous Donor Gives $1000 to Humane Society

It’s a situation we’re all familiar with. You go up to the till at the store to pay for your items and the cashier asks if you want to donate some money to a good cause today. Maybe you donate a couple bucks, maybe you don’t. You probably don’t donate a thousand dollars though.

That’s exactly what one person did for the Lakeland Humane Society at a pet store in Cold Lake. While the customer prefers to remain anonymous, the society is thrilled with the donation. So far the store’s campaign has raised over 3,300 dollars for the society, and the month isn’t even halfway over.

The money raised so far will go a long way to the society’s regular maintenance, and perhaps even building a much-needed new shelter soon.
