Therien Residents Rough Up Dangerous Driver

A few residents in Therien had to take the law into their own hands to get an erratic driver off the road.

A 20-year-old St. Paul man was reported to the Bonnyville RCMP for driving dangerously through the hamlet. Police say the vehicle spat rocks at people on the street and had even backed into a pedestrian. Before the cops showed up, some residents had managed to stop the vehicle and a fight broke out. Some of the suspect’s friends took him to the hospital for injuries, where the police showed up to bring him into custody.

The man will appear in court on May 17th on two counts of Assault With a Weapon and one count of Dangerous Driving.
