Ecole du Sommet Teacher Recognized Nationally

A St. Paul teacher is recognized by The Prime Minister. A Pre-school teacher at Ecole du Sommet, Aline Beaudoin, recently received a high honour, the 2014 Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in early childhood education, making her one of 19 recipients from across the country. The award honours outstanding and innovative early childhood educators who excel at fostering the early development and socialization of the children in their care, and at helping build the foundation children need to make the best possible start in life.

Beaudoin has been with Ecole du Sommet as a pre-school teacher for 14 years. Prior to that she ran a dayhome for 15 years before moving to St. Paul, and spent a year in the community before she took the position of pre-school teacher. Beaudoin has been known as an ambassador to new parents and is very talented at welcoming new students and families to the school.
