Brett Kissel Warns Fans of Scam Impersonating Him

Local country superstar Brett Kissel has warned his fans in a Facebook post that a con artist is making the rounds on social media pretending to be him.

Kissel says the imposter direct messages fans through Facebook asking them to pick up a briefcase containing 70,000 dollars from a  gig he supposedly did in Cambridge, Ontario. The scammer asks the target for their phone number and address as well as money.

Kissel clarified further in his statement, “I mean, what kind of idiot thinks that I would ever get paid in cash and with a briefcase? I don’t even have Facebook Messenger either. And, I’ve also never even been to Cambridge, Ontario before. So…..”
