A drunk driver who tried to trick the Bonnyville RCMP by switching seats with his passenger when he was pulled over failed to pull the wool over the cops’ eyes.
Police received multiple calls of a driver on Highway 659 speeding and swerving into the oncoming lane. When the police found the driver and pulled him over, they watched him change seats with his passenger before they approached the car.
The original driver from Glendon was found to be three times over the legal blood/alcohol limit. He was arrested for drinking and driving. The passenger from Lloydminster was found to be on a GDL license and to also have alcohol in his system. His licence was suspended.
