Elk Point, County of St. Paul Maintain Water Sharing Agreement

It looks like the status quo will be maintained between Elk Point and the County of St. Paul in their water sharing agreement.

The current deal sees Elk Point pay for 80% of the costs for water. The town approached the county asking for a 50/50 split, but the county turned the offer down, noting that Elk Point uses the vast majority of the water between the two of them.

Glen Ockerman was the only councilor on the county in favour of the proposal.
