Catholic Schools Raise Awareness for Huntington’s With Snow Angel Challenge.

Students from Holy Family Catholic School in Waskatenau took part in a Snow Angels Challenge on Febuary 9th to raise awareness and funds for Huntington’s Disease.

The challenge was organized by  Holy Family Catholic School teacher Cynthia Grykin and parent Julie Krahulec. Krahulec has a daughter in grade 9 and her husband is currently battling the disease. Dozens of students from the school went out and made snow angels together to raise funds for wehaveaface.org, which seeks to find a cure for the disease.

The school then challenged other schools in the district to put on their own Snow Angels Challenge. Notre Dame in Bonnyville accepted and had over 450 students participate in their own event on Friday.
