Cold Lake Holds Open House For New RV Bylaws

The City of Cold Lake held an open house for proposed new bylaws around RVs  on Thursday.

The two main changes proposed are that RVs must be parked at least a meter away from the sidewalk in a driveway so that they don’t jut out at all and that RV’s can only be parked in the front driveway between April 1st to October 31st (they can be stored in the back yard year round.) The city says jutting RVs onto the sidewalk are a danger to pedestrians and cyclists and obstruct drivers’ views.  The limited time frame for RVs parked out front is to give the appearance of a tidier neighbourhood.
