Canadiens Alumni Take on Bonnyville Locals Tonight.

A rag-tag bunch of Bonnyvillers will be taking on a team of past players for the Montreal Canadiens at the RJ tonight at 7.

The event is the work of the Bonnyville Oilmen’s society, who will be taking all the proceeds from the game to aid in their charitable work around the community. While a few Oilmen will be playing in the game, the organization decided to fill out their roster by putting a call out on their website and Facebook page to anyone in the public on a first come, first serve basis.

The locals will have some stiff competition though in an Alumni squad coached by no less than Yvan Cournoyer of the famous 70s dynasty team. Expect to see Rick Green, Gilles Thibodeau, John Chabot, Chris Nyland, and Stéphane Richer among others on the ice representing the Habs.
