Bonnyville RCMP seeking public assistance in identifying suspects

Bonnyville RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects allegedly involved in an arson at the local Home Hardware store.

On August 15, around 7:28 a.m., officers responded to a fire in progress at the Bonnyville Home Hardware. “A trailer full of merchandise was on fire on the loading dock of the business,” reads the RCMP release. “Later that same day, Bonnyville RCMP was advised by Home Hardware staff that security footage revealed that someone started the fire.”

Police say the video shows the fire starting at 7:12 a.m., and also revealed that two people entered the trailer earlier that morning to steal items.

Anyone with information or can identify the individuals in the photo is asked to contact Bonnyville RCMP at 780-343-7200. Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
