Credit Card Fraud in the Lakeland

 

Credit card fraud has become a problem in the Lakeland. On September 19th, the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment received a complaint from a business in Bonnyville of fraudulent use of a credit card. After investigation, a 31-year-old female resident of Bonnyville was charged with Forgery of a credit card. The crime is reoccurring in the Lakeland as a group of individuals have been victimizing merchants in this manner for quite some time. Bonnyville RCMP Staff Sergeant Luis Gandolfi, says store owners should keep their eyes peeled for certain actions.

Staff Sergeant Gandolfi adds should similar activity occur, store merchants are asked to verify the card number or personal identification with the card provider.
