Suspect arrested after a shelter in place in Cold Lake

A shelter in place that was put in place in a Cold Lake neighbourhood was lifted less than two hours after it was issued Tuesday night, following an arrest of a suspect.

“Cold Lake RCMP would like to advise the public that the situation has been resolved. A suspect was arrested and no injuries have been reported at this time,” reads the statement released at 10:37 p.m. on July 8.

Police were expected to stay on scene for several hours to continue their investigation.

The Alberta RCMP thanked the public for their cooperation, saying,  “An update is anticipated once more information becomes available.”
