Cold Lake RCMP are asking residents near 8 Street and 10 Avenue to shelter in place as officers respond to a report of a gunshot in the area.
In a released issued on July 5 at 9:04 p.m., police urged anyone in the area to remain indoors and asked the public to avoid the area entirely.
“Members of the public are asked to avoid the area and to please not post any pictures of the police event until after the incident is over,” reads the release. “An update will be sent once the shelter in place is lifted or if more information becomes available.”
