Woman airlifted to Edmonton after two-vehicle collision near Elk Point

A 78-year-old woman was airlifted to Edmonton in critical condition following a two-vehicle collision in the county of St. Paul on June 24.

Elk Point RCMP responded to a collision between two SUV’s around 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 29 and Highway 41.

According to RCMP, the woman was transported by STARS air ambulance, while two drivers and another passenger were taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor and the cause of the collision is under investigation.
