Fishing Lake man charged after fleeing police

A 23-year-old man from Fishing Lake is facing multiple charges after allegedly attempting to flee from police.

During a traffic stop on June 21, RCMP say the individual was traveling at a high speed and tried to run from officers.

According to the June 23 release, Elk Point RCMP members, along with nearby detachments and the Police Dog Section, were able to stop the vehicle and arrest the suspects without incident.

Conway Moyah of Fishing Lake has been charged with flight from a peace officer, operating a conveyance while prohibited and dangerous operation of a conveyance.

He was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was released on $100 bail and set to appear in St. Paul court on July 3.
