An evacuation order has been issued for anyone in the southern Winefred Lake and Grist Lake Region.
A wildfire remains burning out of control to the west, northwest, and southwest of Winefred Lake, and is currently sitting at over 62,000 hectares.
Anyone in the evacuation zone is being ordered out of area as soon as possible. For more information, evacuees are urged to call the County of Lac La Biche at 780-623-6767 for up to date information.
Things to take with you during this time include important documents, food and water for a few days and any and all medications or items that are needed in day to day activities.
