Bonnyville Man Arrested on Drug and Identify Theft Charges.

A 57-year-old Bonnyville man has found himself in serious trouble on identity theft and dug possession charges.

The man was pulled over shortly before midnight  on the 7th for failing to comply with conditions, but a search of his vehicle quickly revealed much more than that. Police discovered as many as four documents with the credit card information of someone other than himself as well as a stash of methamphetamine.   His vehicle was towed and he was promptly arrested.

The man has refused to speak to a justice of the peace and remains in custody until his court appearance on the 16th. He faces charges of: Possession of Methamphetamine, Identity Theft x4, Unauthorized Use of Credit Card Data x4, Make/ Possess Instruments for Making a Forged Document, Breaching Probation x2, and 3 counts of Failing to Comply with Conditions.
